Waking up

Post by D & B » Thu Apr 19, 2012 9:49 am

Does anybody else wake up more tired than they did when I went to bed?

I feel like a bus has hit me and this is after a short lie in. I am not an early to bed guy but neither am I one to waste away the morning lying in bed.

The alcohol intake was lower than average last night, anybody else get this?

Yep. All the time. But instead of lying in bed feeling sorry for myself I have been getting up and going to the gym at 6am, sorts me right out for the day
I wished for this, I bitched at that

Do you eat late Dandy?
I seem to suffer from food hangovers if i stuff myself with food before bed.

I sleep better if I have coffee before I go to bed.

Yes I do mate, usually a big fuck off sandwich to soak up the ale. To be honest its all becoming a little less foggier.

To add, over the last couple of weeks I've been having dreams. Now this is a rarity as I haven't had dreams for years (or any I can remember). They are really detailed, the one last night was odd, it wasn't me in physical appearance but it was me (if that makes sense). I couldn't remember where I lived and was searching for my house with a set of keys to different doors. Found a door one of the keys opened and got into bed, only to find I was in the middle of an orgy. Then blanked out and the dream continued with me out on the streets battered and bruised. Not the first time I have had the dream about not knowing which house I lived in and most dreams end with some sexual activity.

This wasn't a dream, this was you staggering home from the pub.

Solution - Cut back on the booze and don't eat any food a few hours before bed.

I've always been able to sleep at any time of the day or night given half a chance. Only feel crap if I get less than a couple of hours though. Always been envious of those who can cat-nap and then wake up feeling full of life.

Strong black coffee to kick start the day, beer to wind it down and food at some point in between. Seems to work
