McEwan is seemingly one of the best players without a PDC tour card. Yet, he lost 2 out of his 3 games on the pro tour last week and is currently only 5th in the CT OOM. The gap between the PDC and the secondary leagues is probably wider than ever.

The problem is adjusting to different tournaments, venues, organisations and setups. Not the skill. McEven has the capability to do well on the pro tour he just has to get the hang of it. He is not experienced in the PDC darts

Whenever I have seen him play he was very solid. He has probably been the best player in this Modus thing which features pretty much all notable non card holders

I don't see it.

Despite his recent run of 14 wins in a row, he appears to be inconsistent. He'll average mid-90s one game then early 80s the next.

I think he'd be similar to Montgomery on the pro-tour. The odd big win, but otherwise fodder.
