Welcome to the first Darts Forum World Snooker Tipping Competition.
How well can you predict the outcome of a series of games in the World Championship?
Here are the rules.
1. Each entrant will be allocated 100 points to bet with for each round of the tournament.
2. A list of matches will be put on this thread prior to the start of each round.
3. Each entrant may use his 100 points to bet on as many of the matches in each round as he likes up to a maximum of 5.
4. The minimum stake on each match is 20 points. However, an entrant may use all his 100 points on one match should he wish.
5. Rule deleted as not necessary.
6. Rounds One and Two will be match bets only but the Quarter Finals are reached, other bets will be offered for entrants to choose from (such as highest break in match, total frames played etc).
7. Entrants may only bet on the markets that are listed on this thread.
8. Markets will be taken from Paddy Powers Bookmaker Site and odds will be fixed by me.
9. Scoring will be odds based thus entrants who back a long-priced winner will be rewarded more than one who picks a short-priced favourite.
10. In addition to the above, each player will receive a further 100 points to bet on an outright winner. This selection must be made by 10.00am on Saturday 21st April, 2012. This may be a 100 point win bet or a 50 point each way bet which will pay out 1/4 the odds should your player reach the semi-finals.
11. In all disputes, my word is final but I will be as fair as possible.
12. If you don't like it, fuck off.
Hope this covers everything. The first round matches will be put up here with prices as soon as the qualifying rounds are over and the draw is complete.
In the meantime, entrants may put up their 100 point (or 50 point ew) overall winner selection should they wish.

Entry Example:
1. 20pt win on Steve Hendry to beat Tony Drago (evens)
2. 40 pt win on Joe Davis to beat Earl Strickland (3/1)
3. 40 pt win on Blind Bob to beat Ronnie O'Sullivan (10/1)
Use your 100 points as you wish each round but all bets must be a minimum of 20 points AND a multiple of 20 points.

Good point actually, Gaz. Would be nice to start offering some prizes at some point.
Maybe once I've become a bit better at running and scoring these comps, we can have buy ins with prizes paid out accordingly.
Maybe site sponsors could also come up with something like used to happen at the other place in the dart comps.
Just a though.
We'll keep this one for fun thought.
I will set up a Comps Hall of Fame thread though for winners' names to be added to.

Maybe for big sporting events such as this we could have an entry fee, or sat £5 or £10. Keep it small, for those that want to take part and have a little flutter.....

On another forum, they do a comp like this but have a voluntary buy in. The comp runs as normal but the highest placed person who bought in, gets the money prize.
Seems fair.
I'll start doing this once the syndy is off and running.
