Todays bets, just the two today.

Snooker - Round 3 of the qualifiers comes to a close with the final matches before the big guns come in on Saturday, and the one that has caught my eye is the David Morris match again, after he came good for me on Tuesday he has another winnable match against Alan McManus, provisionally ranked 54 and best days well behind him, and with Morris on a roll the odds of 6/4 for him to win today are tempting. One point.

Darts - Taylor v Barney - the rise of Barney is about to come to a grinding halt and Paddypower are offering odds of Taylor to win on a -4.5 handicap of 3/2, basically meaning any Taylor win where he drops three legs or less will do. One point.

The sweet smell of success

Yesterdays outlay: £10
Yesterdays returns: £25

Running total:

Outlay: £302.50
Returns: £438.26

Profit - 45% (up 4%)

No tips today as there doesnt seem to be much occuring, instead I shall look at what is going on at the weekend:

Football - West Ham v Brighton - Goals are more than likely guaranteed in this one, West Ham came down from 3-0 to draw 3-3 last week and over 3.5 goals is currently 11/5. Have one point on it

Snooker - Dominic Dale v Ben Woolaston - I'm going for the shock here. Woolaston to win @ 11/8, one point.

Football - Man Utd v Aston Villa - Surely Sir Rednose will want to blow away the cobwebs of the midweek defeat, and with Aston Villa being a backpocket team in every sense of the word when it comes to Man Utd, I see no other result than a runaway win. Man U are 17/10 on the 2 goal handicap to win, have a point on this. I did consider the "Over X goal" market but this is the better value bet if you think Man U will keep a clean sheet.

As well as the above tips, I had bets at the weekend on the Grand National (£2.50 each way on Cappa Bleu at 16/1) and then £7.50 on Man U to be leading after 10 minutes @ 7/2

Both came in :D

So the weekends figures:

Weekend outlay: £27.50
Weekend returns: £16 (West Ham win) + £13.50 (Man U number of goals) + £33.75 (Man U leading after 10 mins) + £12.50 (Grand National win) = £75.75

Running total:

Outlay: £330
Returns: £514.01

Profit - 56% (up 11%) :D :D :D

Lets get back to it!!! Just the two bets today.

Snooker - Stevens v Fu - a nice range of bets to choose from now we have reached the TV stages. Stevens is a very tempting 13/8 to win the match 10-7 or better on the handicap so I shall be having a point of that action.

Football - Leicester v West Ham - West Ham have been putting the goals in the net recently, and in their last five matches there have been at least four goals scored (wither by WHU or their opponents). Over 3.5 goals is 7/4 so I shall be having a point on that.

citys last 8 games have seen only 14 goals, not many by city either if you take out the doncaster game.

One win, one loss, therefore:

Yesterdays returns: £13.13

Outlay: £340
Returns: £527.14

The offerings today:

Football - Barcelona v Chelsea. Sorry, I see no other than a thrashing. Barcelona 11/5 to win on the handicap of -2. One point.

Football - Aston Villa v Bolton - This has a draw written all over it. Straight bet on a draw here @ 12/5. One point.

The less said about yesterday the better.

Profit - 51% (down 4%)

No tips today, nothing sticks out for me.

Lets get back to it!

Darts - Lewis v Anderson - Anderson is woefully out of form and Lewis is on a roll after his Taylor defeat. Paddypower are offering various handicap bets, I am going to stick my neck out and say Lewis can get an 8-4 victory or better. Odds of 6/4 on the -3.5 handicap, one point.

Football - Valencia v Athletico - Athletico are going to park the bus in this one given they are 4-2 ahead. Under 2.5 goals is 5/4. One point.

First one now as it has just started:

Snooker - Hendry v Higgins - Higgins is 11/10 to win by at least 13 frames to 9 on the handicap. Two points, please.

EDIT:

Football - Southampton v Coventry. Southampton are going to go up in style and score a few. Over 3.5 goals is 6/4 so one point

Football - West Bromk v Aston Villa - Villa seem to be in a bit of disarray, West Brom fresh from beating Liverpool. West Brom are a tasty 3/1 to win with a -1 handicap! One point.

Maybe I should update this. A woeful effort, with only the second one coming off, so:

Weekend outlay = £20
Weekend returns - £12.50

Running total:

Outlay: £380
Returns: £550.89

Profit - 45% (down 5%)

No bets today, will try and do some tomorrow.
