There's a new Columbo podcast called 'The Shabby Detective'. They interview Lee Grant, the woman who plays the murderer in Ransom for a Dead Man.

She quiveringly tells the story of being in a stage play with Falk. She forgot her lines and said the wrong line, then said it again with a giggle in a clear call to Falk to help her out. She says Falk turned to the audience and pointed at her with his thumb. She says it absolutely shattered her and as an actor she never recovered. Pretty bleak stuff.

We don't like to think of Falk as being a cunt obviously. She doesn't suggest that he intended damage but sounds haunted by it to this day. She's in her mid-90s now.
