Re: Paddy meaneys darting escapades!!!
Hi everybody
this will be the first post of many from me on this forum so I hope everyone enjoys my many ramblings on.
First of all I'll give you a brief overview of my achievements and honours as a youth so here we go
Captained european youth team playing england on the lakeside stage at 14 .
Finalist x2 europe cup singles.
Semi finalist doubles europe cup x1 europe cup doubles finalist x1 .
Europe cup singles semis x1 .
Europe cup team event semis x1 .
World cup doubles final x1 world cup singles semis x2.
World master quarters x1.
I've also picked up many Irish national singles and double titles, along with many open events
I picked up my first senior international cap at 12 years old which is no mean feat? being the youngest player to ever play for my country
which in my opinion will be hard to be beaten. I finally made the 4 man senior Republic team at 16 to play in the europe cup in turkey
And I always said once I made the 4 man squad it was time to switch sides and try my luck and dedicate myself to the professional ranks
which is what I did
As Dicie pointed out i'm one of the youngest tour card holders as I was only 18 when coming out of Q school (turned 19 yesterday) getting old
I've already had 2 full weekends on the pro tour and have already taking some good scalps Dave chisnall and the likes

This write up is more or less to Introduce myself to this new forum and I will be updating after every tournament
My next outing will be the UK open qualifier in barnsley on the 14th and 15th of april so I hope ye keep track of my progress
Thanks for reading
Paddy

Can I ask Paddy, realistically what are your goals this year in the PDC:
Is qualifying for Bolton a real possibility or is it a case of first year on the tour just go with the flow & find your feet?

Two Cork cnuts and now a Kilkenny one, what the hell is happening to the forum.
One year I got a bike for my birthday. So I went peddling off down the road and knocked an old lady down.
'Can't you ring your bell?' She said. 'I can ring my bell,' I said 'But I can't ride my bike'

That's my first goal is qualifying for bolton, but as I missed barnsley it's obviously going to be harder! 400 more will more than likelyhang the dj wrote:Can I ask Paddy, realistically what are your goals this year in the PDC:

see me in safely.

As for the rest of the year its all going to be a learning curve for me. I don't want to fall head first into unrealistic dreams!
I want to settle in and then start making targets for myself to meet.
E.g getting myself into the top 90 in the world..... and by the end of year 2 I obviously want to be in that top 64.
the main thing is not to pressure myself into anything but just enjoy the game
