Re: Current OoM
Price needs a very good 2022 to keep Wright at bay. At the 2023 World Championship, Price is defending his 2021 winners' prize money while Wright lost early in the Last 32.

Re: Current OoM
Wright should end the season as #1 as he's got so much in the bank from 2021, but I wouldn't be so sure that Wright will overtake Price after the UK Open, Price hasn't won a Minehead event yet, but he's made 2 finals, and as it's basically the closest TV venue to him, he gets the crowds on his side for once

This might more suit a tour card race 2022 thread but looking like De Zwaan, Hopp, Brown etc are already fucked

Re: Current OoM
We've seen that it's hardly impossible even from a standing start to get into the top 64, but for de Zwaan and Hopp, you'd have to say it's looking a steep task. Keegan Brown I don't think is in quite as critical a condition, he's played at varying levels of mediocre these past few seasons, whereas de Zwaan and Hopp were crap last year

Senna comparing you to Arthur Atkinson is very appropriate.HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Mon Jan 17, 2022 6:46 pmHow do you know? Surely they haven’t done the pre filming this early? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalkshenmue wrote:No, obesehead will be knocked out of the world's early

De Zwaan is doomed imo. He got QF of the WGP in 2020 but he didn't even play that well that year either so the signs were already there. The same with West at the Europeans.
Hopp, although he's playing much worse standard wise than De Zwaan, has more opportunities being German. Can still find a way to scrape into those completely unfair Euro Tour spots for German events and also has the Super League as a qualifier which he'd still be 3rd favourite.

Qualifying for the euro tours is doubly important now for Hendo, brown,Hughes etc. It will be the difference between keeping or losing their tour cards next year I reckon

DFR
True on Jeffrey, his 2020 form was very much off the back of his pretty stellar 2018 and 2019 form, but the residual effects of that have well and truly worn off now, it's an uphill task for him now. I think two of the 4 Home Nation spots go to that country's ProTour rankings, not sure if Clemens is slated to be seeded for any events this year, but even if so, Hopp is pretty far behind Schindler and Hempel on the ProTour so unlikely to be able to take advantage of that. I don't even think he can play in the German Superleague as I seem to recall he basically sacked it off one year (when he was well on the way up and didn't look like he'd need it) and never got back on that tour. In any case, there are some strong players from Germany these days, you'd surely have to rate the likes of Horvat and Wenig at least his equal, and that's not even to mention Schindler and Hempel who might need to play in it

Re: Current OoM
To put into perspective how important the Euro Tour is, Hempel didn't play any events until after the UK Open, ended up not qualifying for the Players, but even two fairly ordinary runs in Europe got him to the Euros and the Worlds. I know last year was odd with only 2 ET events, but still!
