A short time ago, it would have been very common to see people applying an asterisk to this world title because of the MVG factor. I've seen nothing.

Darts changes very quickly and very slowly at the same time. Like Randall first thing when he suddenly remembers there's a wispa in the fridge. It's fun.

I've seen nothing this year to suggest mvg could have lived with Wright in the semi final
Heck gando might have taken him in the quarter

I think we'd need to start with wondering if he'd have beaten Dobey. Then Chizzy/Humph in the next round, both of whom were amazing against him the last time.

I think the lack of asterisk talk demonstrates that MVG is a relative nobody now. We've travelled a million miles in five years.

We have seen plenty of evidence this year that his arse falls out under pressure and fluke certainly isn't intimidated by him

Far from intimidated, they seem excited by the idea of playing him. Judging by some extremely good performances against him from some quite peculiar players.

Most people had mvg forth favourite and rightfully so, 3 players have played better than him most of the year.

I leave viewing figure analysis to the mushrooms who are experts but it does sound like a fantastic figure for a non-Taylor final.

There is a 1.5 million peak stated here for the Anderson-Taylor final in 2015: https://www.digitalspy.com/tv/a619350/g ... ky-sports/

...so presumably that's what he's placing at #1 when he says that last night was the second highest audience ever.

And twice as many on illegal streams!
The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.
