in all seriousness, it would be so demoralising to so many player if they just hand out a PL place or Tour card to Fallon just for getting to the quarter finals in one TV major per year.

If you're a player and missing out you shouldn't care who took your spot. It doesn't matter if it's Fallon or Barney or anyone else. Do enough so that they can't overlook you.
