Yes it won't. We already had the contender shit twice.daveboygreen wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 10:48 pmYour 100% right that adding 2 contenders each week will not mix it upThe Thorn wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 10:44 pmWhich absolutely does nothing to mix it up. This is the same that has been going on with the contender thing you just add 2 more playersdaveboygreen wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 10:43 pm I do hope they change the format of the Premier League as to me it has become a bit stale, Last one I think I watched the first 3 weeks and the finals night out of all of it, Would be better if it was extended to say 12 players or have 2 invited players each week as well as the 10 players to mix it up a bit.![]()

Re: 2022 Premier League
If anything, it can be argued that there are too many players in the PL these days, I thought this year was fun, but still, Cross and Duzza didn't contribute much to it, another 2 players when there are question marks over a few players currently on course to make it would be the wrong choice IMO

Re: 2022 Premier League
Exactly. If you put more players in the PL you would have to change the whole format somehow. Picking 2 more players is going to dilute the field. Any placing outside the top 4 has really zero consequence so you are just adding 2 pieces of dead weight.thegentle wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 10:55 pm If anything, it can be argued that there are too many players in the PL these days, I thought this year was fun, but still, Cross and Duzza didn't contribute much to it, another 2 players when there are question marks over a few players currently on course to make it would be the wrong choice IMO
And as for the contenders they already struggled to pick them the last time. There are not enough players coming through to pick 2 for every week. When the likes of Lennon and Wattimena are getting picked you know that its a massive fuckup. Would they do Kleermaker and Hempel next year or what the fuck? The depth is just not there.

Re: 2022 Premier League
The initial contenders were a breath of fresh air, although considering that Aspinall (who by the time he actually played his contender game had more majors than his opponent lol), Duzza and Dimi all graduated to full members within a year or two, with little replacing them at that level just below Prem quality range, they were really scraping the barrel the next year. It also didn't help that Dobey and Lennon (ffs, whose idea was it to give him a PL place?) stagnated and that Hopp and de Zwaan have since fallen off a cliff. Humphries has kicked on, but it certainly hasn't all been plain sailing for himThe Thorn wrote: ↑Sun Oct 17, 2021 11:03 pmExactly. He should be a contender in it next year. Along with Waites, O'Shea, Robson, Fitton etc. Bring the old crew together

Just noticed that Cazoo is the new title sponsor for the PL. They have the Slam, Europeans and World Cup as well.

Bit petty perhaps but don't like the grey stage for Cazoo. Looks rancid compared to black, blue or red

Political activity
In July 2016, Chesterman was said to be behind a legal challenge to stop Brexit should the British government not allow Parliament to vote on the deal.[24] He donated £300,000 to the Liberal Democrats in the 2019 United Kingdom general election
wehhey and he's not a tory. that is a genuine suprise.
