2022 PDC Calendar
With Matt Porter revealing that the new calendar is on the way very soon, what is everyone most looking out for?
A couple of things on my wishlist, pending Covid...
- Q-School in mid January to free time for CT events in late January on the Masters weekend.
- A full Euro Tour programme (already confirmed) but spread from February to October. New territories and less German events.
- A mix of Euro Tour, PC events, UK Open and breaks during the PL weekends.
- World Cup reverts to June, European Championship at Halloween, WSF in early November. Rest of tv events keep their time slot.
- PC events in midweek to become staple in blocks, after the Premier League, which frees up more weekends for...
- A new TV ranking event to replace the Champions League, taking place in September. Televised on BBC.
- PC events clashing with some international World Series events in early July and August, giving top players a choice of schedule. Rest of World Series in August during a break for everyone else.
- More CT events and them being restored as the PC replacement list.

Re: 2022 PDC Calendar
The WDF World Championship is on the 1st Jan as Little Richard said he wanted players to have some time to prepare for Q School. So that would mean Q School could be on the 17th JanDeepFriedRat wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 2:51 pm With Matt Porter revealing that the new calendar is on the way very soon, what is everyone most looking out for?

12 Euro Events? Holland & Germany should have 2 events while the other 8 should go to a range of different countries not Gibraltar but that wont happen
Porter hinted at mixed of all week pro tours and the old weekends. So i expect that to happen
BBC ended the contract with the PDC during the pandemic. I have a feeling with BBC showing the Seniors the PDC are looking elsewhere and I'm not sure another TV event (Especially in UK) will be occuring soon

Well not really, its been the first Saturday of the new year for decades now (bar 2000 which they delayed for a week on purpose as they accepted everyone would be ratarsed from Millennium celebrations, plus the BBC probably didnt want it NYE anyway given their own Millennium programming)oche balboa wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 3:09 pmYep, Hence the date of the 1st January. The Ginge Reaper wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 3:05 pm Richard Ashdown genuinely said that? Nothing odd about it starting 1st Jan, it certainly isnt only to give people a break before Q School.

The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.

Re: 2022 PDC Calendar
13 Euro Tours, with over half of them, 7, in Germany. Very uninspiring.
Other countries are one each in Holland, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Hungary and Gibraltar.
There's a weekend where 5 Challenge Tour events clash with PC events, thought that was odd.
The WDF final clash will mean they only miss one day from Stage One if you're UK based. If you're Tricole, Raman or any other top WDF European though, you're completely fucked.
