Is this some sort of sarcasm ?

I find the whole idea of having a day for your mother where everyone is caught up in the hype both pathetic and sheeplike. I dont need some commercial bullshit to remind me I love my parents.

I do buy presents at xmas etc etc....but my issue is this commercialism.
Too many people rush out to act the prick and compete with family members ordering huge bunches of flowers to be delivered as if they are some great son but dont give a flying fuck for the rest of the year.
I have seen it all too often spoilt little cunts in the pub boasting about what they bought their mother as if that makes them something special, and seeking some sort of praise for caring.....they should care all year not because some bunch of cunts make them feel obligated to do so.

for the record i never said i wont do something nice for my mum, i was addressing the whole concept...so take that in to consideration when the buckfast wears off

im not saying you wont do anything nice for your mum , but this thread doesnt look like a dick waiving contest to me about who bought the biggest bunch of flowers , more like a member gentling reminding other members about mothers day....

I do see your point about the commercialism of it and alot of people use it as a competition with their siblings ,but you must see thats not what this thread is about ?

personally i just get my mum a small bunch of flowers with and a picture of her granchild , nothing fancy ...

And as for the buckfast im not in scotland just now so unfortunatly not been drinking any lately
