Cheltenham Festival 2012

Post by Knots & crosses » Mon Mar 12, 2012 12:45 pm

This sounds exciting. I have sold all my worldly possessions & will be staking the resulting £5.20 on each of these races in turn, depending on the results.

I hope to be rubbing shoulders with some of the punters tonight and will try to get as many tips as I can from the Irish.

Problem being I can never understand a word they are saying after 7 O'Clock.

Love the post race chats, no one ever seems to lose????

"won the first and it paid for my bets and beer for the week"..... "Won the last and managed to claw back my losses" both being common statements repeated by kicking out time.

Crystal Bonus
Astracad

Race 3 Day 1

Fruity o Rooney
Blenheim Brook
Golden chieftan

Race 4 Day 1 - Champion Hurdle - All roads lead to the top 3 in the market

Hurricane fly
Binocular
Zarkandar

Race 5 Day 1 - This will have an Irish feel to it the cross country usually does

ScotsIrish

Fortification

Race 6 Day 1 - Quevega is far to short a price thou it does look nailed on here.

Quevega
Violin Davis

Race 7 Day 1

I enjoy Cheltenham, for me the best race meet of the year. The danger is always the Irish unknowns as they're kept pretty much under wraps and we know little about them.

The place will be heaving tomorrow mate as you well know. The year of foot and mouth must have cost the local economy millions

They have made the money back since by adding the fourth day.

Bit foggy and chilly at the moment, similar to last night so expect a bright sunny day with plenty of blue sky in the afternoon.

Excellent news on the weather front for Menorah in the Arkle. A winner @ 9/1 would make a nice early dent in my forthcoming massive loss.

be thankful you work in a place with a roof.
I worked outdoor in a job and we were always on a schedul so no matter the weather we worked, many a time i was soaked to the skin and still had to work in the rain for a few mour hours before i could finish, the hours were short, and it paid very well but wearing raingear while grafting hard only made you just as wet from sweat
