Looking for a new board
Having owned a Blade 4 now for 4 - 5 months, I am now on the look out for a new dartboard. Any suggestions fellas?
Price isn't a serious problem but I would appreciate a board which would provide value.
The Blade 4 itself has been rotated numerous times but I find the treble sector becomes very brittle which makes it hard for the dart to bed in leading to many a drop-out. A couple of the teble sector have lumps missing and on first playing was a quality board with little shelf life.
Help please.

Re: Looking for a new board
Just got a new eclipse pro yesterday. Last one I had lasted the year so I can't complain too much about it. Cost €40 in the local sports shop here.
One year I got a bike for my birthday. So I went peddling off down the road and knocked an old lady down.
'Can't you ring your bell?' She said. 'I can ring my bell,' I said 'But I can't ride my bike'

I've had a Bulls Advantage for about 2 years now and they really do last well. The only thing I would say is the sisal is really dense so if you throw your darts lightly you might find issues with them staying in the board.

Nah, it's a pretty decent board like red says. It's what I bought & currently use.

Re: Looking for a new board
Not a great quality picture but after 2 weeks the treble 20 section is falling apart on the new eclipse pro. Would this be about right or did I buy a dud.

It tends to wear a bit, but not that much after 2 weeks. Not mine anyway.....

Re: Looking for a new board
The last one I had didn't seem to wear as quick, that's why I went for an eclipse pro again. €40 that cost over here. Was talking to the wife's nephew about an hour ago and he told me he could have got me a blade 4 for €30. He's on the committee for the Nenagh and district darts league and they had some left over.Knots & crosses wrote:It tends to wear a bit, but not that much after 2 weeks. Not mine anyway.....
