Price, Wright, Anderson, Wade, Clayton, Asp, Chizzy, Dolan all to choose from while the likes of Ronny Huybrechts, Tony Dawkins and Gordon Mathers all rock up for other countries to make up the numbers.

A player like Speed Jobber Vinny or Capybara winning an Olympic gold as a Dutch team off the back of MVG and Dirk would be ludicrous. Similar for Mike de Decker or Geert de Vos off Van den Bergh or any random Poruguese cunt off Jose.

Re: Should darts be in the olympic games?
There are a lot of shitty sports no one has ever heard of in the Olympics. That's not really an issue. In fact I'd say darts is now big enough (not globally but commercially) so that it doesn't need the OlympicsTheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 4:29 pm Schedule on a normal year is hectic enough, also don’t think the game is global enough yet for it to be worth doing, same can be said for baseball though
No from me

Skateboarding and BMX are in?

This year not even one minute of this event.
I am still disgusted with opening of football "Euro" and digital U2, ffs!! Retarded!
Rugby is a joke just like American football

Golf shouldn't be there.
Only football and tennis out of those 6. And this is a "maybe"...
Therefore - Olympics is now a joke --> darts could be in it as well but... I vote NO

You're only saying that because Poland still wouldn't get a medal even with all the English, Scottish and Welsh lads teaming up together!DartJack Horseman wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 5:54 pmSkateboarding and BMX are in?FFS!! Darts is far bigger than many of the events in if we are basing it on tv audiences.TheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 4:29 pm Schedule on a normal year is hectic enough, also don’t think the game is global enough yet for it to be worth doing, same can be said for baseball though

Eventually I can see more and more events being added. What next?
Darts
Snooker
Fishing
Chess
Don’t they have bowling in the commonwealth games?

Are we all mentally blocking the possibility that the IOC would go to the WDF to provide the players as they are the "official body" ?

Re: Should darts be in the olympic games?
Baseball absolutely is global enough to make a proper tournament, it's huge in the Spanish speaking Caribbean and in Asia, but the issue is that the MLB in America don't release their players so it's rarely the best vs the best. With England, Scotland and Wales coming together, and Northern Ireland either joining Team GB or Team Ireland, how many good teams would there be in an Olympic darts tournament? It'd be hard enough to get decent teams together even with doubles, let alone with bigger teamsTheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 4:29 pm Schedule on a normal year is hectic enough, also don’t think the game is global enough yet for it to be worth doing, same can be said for baseball though

Other than equestrian (which has always been in the Olympics and always will be because it's a sport for posh twats), all the sports in the Olympics are unquestionably sports, a bit different shoving darts in there!HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 7:52 pmDarts is far bigger than many of the events in if we are basing it on tv audiences.TheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Wed Jul 28, 2021 4:29 pm Schedule on a normal year is hectic enough, also don’t think the game is global enough yet for it to be worth doing, same can be said for baseball though
