It's the track and field I enjoy most but it is good getting into the other sports that I'd never usually dream of watching

BBC coverage been scaled down?

BBC only have secondary rights. Eurosport are the main rights holders, however if you have Eurosport you get 9 channels on Sky/Virgin (the usual two, and another 7. on Sky they are up at 983 onwards).

The BBC can only show stuff on one main channel and on one red button channel (981)

Yes will be nice to have the Eurosport options this time. Also just signed up for Discovery+ free for 12 months, they are streaming absolutely everything, if Randall has a Sky Q box he can do that also.
