I was gutted when he missed that 9 darter. I like Paul Lim and I really hope he does well, it’s just the list that was put up had more deserving participants in my opinion. The Ginge Reaper wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 5:34 pmWhy does that even matter, he is clearly a fan favourite and thats what this event is mostly about isnt it?HalloweenJack wrote:Remind me how many decent events he won or was even runner up in?The Ginge Reaper wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 5:00 pm Aye, fuck the first 9 darter at the Worlds, irrelevant. Or something.
Think every person watching was willing that D12 in a few years ago when he was on the nine darter. Were it Kevin Painter no cunt would give a toss.
Out of interest, why hasn’t Bobby George been given an invite? He was popular in darts original golden age.

He has, kinda. He clearly doesnt play anymore, he is one of the event "ambassadors".HalloweenJack wrote:I was gutted when he missed that 9 darter. Nope. I was just replying to Sennas post first which he then for some reason deleted.

Indeed, because I knew you would bring up the NOTW events.HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 5:38 pm Senna has just deleted his post asking what Mike Gregory and Stefan Lord had done to warrant a place.
Both more than Paul Lim.
Off the top of my head, Gregory was runner up in the worlds and the masters.
Lord was twice winner of the NOTW event which back then was probably the third biggest event in darts.
You seem fixated by me mentioning Gregory as a possible participant.
Anyway, it's an exhibition. As others have said, Lim is more of a fan favourite than Gregory and Lord.

Neither does John Boy Walton I believe, yet he got an invite. The Ginge Reaper wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 5:42 pmHe has, kinda. I’m sure John Lowe did an exhibition with Bobby George around 18 months ago in Chesterfield.

Maybe he did, but clearly he was asked and only wants to be a non playing "ambassador".

I can’t really disagree with that tbh. The fact he still plays at the worlds sees to that.sennafan24 wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 5:43 pmIndeed, because I knew you would bring up the NOTW events.HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 5:38 pm Senna has just deleted his post asking what Mike Gregory and Stefan Lord had done to warrant a place.

George's back is fucked.

Re: World Senior Darts Championship (Entries List 1st Post)
Mike Gregory is the only player I’ve ever seen throw the way he does, I kind of do a similar thing unintentionally where I point my dart high in the air like that, does anyone know anyone else who throws like Gregory? It’s a weird throw reliant on timing but I quite like the uniqueness of it
