That's what I thought mate as the only way in automatically is being the captain. Now they don't have to pick him I think they wont, or at least he wont be first choice

I think you're right mate. Rio's said he don't want it and I doubt they'd ask the other obvious which is Cole. Rooney however may be a dark horse

I think it's unlikely the FA will let fabio rock the boat too much, since the new manager might want his own man anyway, they would just promote the vice captain.
