Re: Random Dart Stuff
Weird that they have an automatic German spot for the worlds when there's a number of German's on the tour now, definitely a get out of jail free card for Hopp and Schindler though if they're not top 64tungsten tossers wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 12:54 pm German Super League set to return with new format and venue

They seem to be the new post-betting site flavour of the month. Linked to Betfair IIRC.

Re: Random Dart Stuff
You could say the same for the Dutch with the West European qualifier tbf. I think Schindi and Hopp will be OK this season, Schindi has made a good start, and Hopp will probably have the Euro Tour to help him, hope it's Kurz who makes it despite his horror show at Q-SchoolTheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 12:35 amWeird that they have an automatic German spot for the worlds when there's a number of German's on the tour now, definitely a get out of jail free card for Hopp and Schindler though if they're not top 64tungsten tossers wrote: ↑Sat Mar 27, 2021 12:54 pm German Super League set to return with new format and venue

Re: Random Dart Stuff
If Hopp, Schindler, Siepmann, Hempel or Marijanovic win this, I believe they take an International Qualifier Worlds spot and are disqualified from entering the 32 ProTour spots.thegentle wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 12:46 pmYou could say the same for the Dutch with the West European qualifier tbf. Bit of debate about that but I think the PDC cleared it up when Boris Krcmar won the Eastern Europe Qualifier last year and threatened the ProTour 32.
Which begs the question- would you rather bank an International spot through this Super League but risk a tricky first round draw vs a ProTour player...
Or
Get up into the 32 for a better draw but risk not making it all?? (like Klaasen and Dekker last year)

Think players want to be in it no matter what method gets them there, nobody on the pro tour should fear their round 1 draw even though there will be some brutal draws in there

Re: Random Dart Stuff
I'm not sure about this one as it's more of a tour format rather than a straight knockout, but that's generally how it's done for most events, Krcmar would have taken an international spot rather than a ProTour spot even if he had made it. Dekker and Klaasen didn't have that dilemma last season as no West European qualifier took place in the end, though of course they all still have the PDPA qualifier at the end of the season where they failed to get through. I believe Sedlacek didn't go to the Eastern European qualifier (whether he could or not with Covid regulations I'm not sure), he just missed out via the ProTour, but made it via the PDPA qualifierDeepFriedRat wrote: ↑Tue Mar 30, 2021 11:12 pmIf Hopp, Schindler, Siepmann, Hempel or Marijanovic win this, I believe they take an International Qualifier Worlds spot and are disqualified from entering the 32 ProTour spots.thegentle wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 12:46 pmYou could say the same for the Dutch with the West European qualifier tbf.
