Dave Boy Green vs John Boy Walton in 2000/2001

Post by sennafan24 » Tue Mar 09, 2021 2:37 am

Both were in the prime of their careers during the early 2000s and even shared the same nickname.

Walton won the 2000 World Masters and the BDO's version of the World Championship in 2001. Whereas DBG was "picking up trophies for fun" on the Oxford circuit.

But who would have won had the two met during this period?

I think the venue would be the deciding factor.

Walton would win in front of a live crowd.

DBG would win at a pub/snooker club with no spectators/witnesses.

How would have Walton coped with DBG's bionic arm?

He needs a bionic arse too, to stop it from falling out. Or from having to go for a shit in the middle of a game.
The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.

Heard that Walton was doing an exbo in a pub, was giving it large. Acting up picking on a Down syndrome boy (might of been a young Oche) Davey got a phone call from the landlord, to come and play him and take him down a peg to two. Davey beat him 11 legs to 2. Hitting a nine darter and a 3 bull 150 finish in the last match winning leg.

I could see Davey boy beating John Boy. Be a close match. DBG just edging it.

Shame about the injuries DBG could of been a top 16 player in the PDC for decades.

Even with the injuries, he still had Bristow and Luke Woodhouse in his pocket.
