Well done Humphries. I like him and don’t understand the flak he has got from some on here.
Come on Wadey, this should be tv title number 10

Wonder if Mvg thought luke was just a non threat jobber so didn't mind practicing with him and giving him advice or maybe he is just a really nice fella

Ruthless from Humphries, just a cold fist bump at the end of the match to MVG, no BS hugging etc. What a performance.

Fear is he doesn’t reproduce it in the final. Against different paced player and it’s Wade.
Totally agree, seen it many times over my darts watching life

Wild to have seen the likes of White, Whitlock (multiple), Chizzy and Humph hitting ultra form on the telly and just pasting him regardless. Just getting on top early and slaughtering the board.

It's a bit like what happened to Taylor around 07-8 when all kinds of oddities excitedly crawled out the woodwork to have a go.

Oh dear  he might be a right gurner but that was immense from Humphries.

He now has a real chance of being a proper major winner, jump to 22nd in the OOM and certainly guarantee a PL debut. He's also in the Slam now. Tonight could make his career.

Most importantly, it would get him into the World Series Finals on merit, rather than as World Youth Champion as he'd moaned about previously...

Same, looked a good player at the world's. This final is similar to the grand slam as in I want wade to win but I don't mind the opponent winning.

Just want wade to play well

Taylor used to practice with people he would often beat or knew he could have an advantage psychologically even if they beat him in practice, so he could put them in his place. I think MVG thought that even if Luke played well he could still win a close match

What I liked about Humphries in that final leg was when he paused before he threw the final dart. Would Bullyboy have done that?

Second ITV event in a row now where two Big 3 players, MVG, Price and Wright, have bombed the obvious final clash at the semis stage.

Masters- Clayton (Wright) vs Merv (Price)
UK Open- Wade (Price) vs Humphries (MVG)

Blimey, I find myself agreeing with Mason about MvG will not get back to where he was and that
no one will dominate the sport for the next few years...
