No idea if it tastes any good, as I don't drink whiskey anymore but saw it yesterday on offer.
I read reviews which state it’s awful and the bottle is a gimmick to distract from the awful taste.

Chivas Regal is good and can commonly found for £20. Woodsman is a great oaky whiskey.

Tried auschentoshan before Christmas, found a bit fruity. Won’t be buying again.

Have a Redbreast sitting in the cabinet from Xmas, looking forward to it.

That's reassuring, as I was going to get it for my Old Man's birthday.

Ended up getting a 1L bottle of Gordon's Gin for the same price.

I tend to stick to JD and Jim Beam, but do like the Woodford Reserve..

I have tried many bourbons (including the biscuits) but always end up back with JD

I tasted a flavoured whiskey once at Gretna Green, it was absoloutely gorgeous, I asked how much it was, he said £148 a bottle, I said
goodbye.

There is a pub in Devon, which specialises in Whiskeys... I went there with my father in law a few years ago
I asked the barman the prices, and they ranged between £4 and £30 a shot....

Bump!

Not to forget to buy some of those fuckers :D
Went to a store today (poor selection), wanted to buy Jim 1 litre for 13 quid but it was strangely all gone so I said to myself: ok let's try Jack for the first time (in my life! don't know how that happen :) ) - 1 litre for 19 quid, not a fortune but still ~50% more expensive. Tried it neat, blaah. Now drinking with Pepsi. It was my first and last Jack :D Cheers
Maybe it's because it's been 10 days with zero alcohol but I doubt it. It should be other way around. :P

I used to have the odd JD years back but went off it when I stopped mixing Whiskey with mixers, Just drink it neat now so burbon is not the best neat taste wise for me

I am the complete opposite... If neat, JD tastes the best for me, whereas Scotch, I prefer with a mixer
