Re: GSoD Discussion Day 4
7pm-11pm
Groups A-D Final Games
Jan Dekker v Arron Monk (D) - The pressure may be off, but Mr. Coat has been woeful and I expect Monk to turn him over.
Mark Webster v Co Stompe (A) - Webster, Stompe has been jobbertastic.
Kevin Painter v James Hubbard (C) - Kev.
Robert Thornton v Steve Beaton (B) - I reckon this could be tighter than some expect. Wouldn't shock me if Beaton won but Thornton is the justified favourite.
James Wade v Mervyn King (D) - Hmmm, King to sneak it.
Phil Taylor v Scott Waites (A) - I'll never back against Phil, but I wouldn't bet against Waites here either.
Simon Whitlock v Dean Winstanley (C) - Deano is chucking too many stray darts into the 1s, Whitlock will be too consistent for him.
Michael van Gerwen v Ted Hankey (B) - Ted can try all the underhand tactics he likes, but hes not winning.

Hate monk more than Dekker and think dekker has to get at least one good performance in while monk comes up with his shit one
Mark Webster v Co Stompe (A) - Webster, Stompe has been jobbertastic.
Webster should, but if he loses expect tears from the prick
Kevin Painter v James Hubbard (C) - Kev.
Painter far too stong and experieced
Robert Thornton v Steve Beaton (B) - I reckon this could be tighter than some expect. Wouldn't shock me if Beaton won but Thornton is the justified favourite.
Go along with that, unless thornton starts beating himself up
James Wade v Mervyn King (D) - Hmmm, King to sneak it.
Think you are right but hope you are wrong
Phil Taylor v Scott Waites (A) - I'll never back against Phil, but I wouldn't bet against Waites here either.
Think waites will gibe him a decent game but as you say cannot back against phil
Simon Whitlock v Dean Winstanley (C) - Deano is chucking too many stray darts into the 1s, Whitlock will be too consistent for him.
I reckon Whitlock will hammer him easily,
Michael van Gerwen v Ted Hankey (B) - Ted can try all the underhand tactics he likes, but hes not winning.
this is only going one way,MVG

Stompe has been fucking useless. Webster will have to play as bad as he did in that 6-0 humping a couple of weeks back to even stand a chance of losing.

Re: GSoD Discussion Day 4
If Beaton beats Thornton the pressure will ease off van Gerwen.
That could mean one of two things, he relaxes and he batters Hankey, or he takes the foot off the throttle leaving the door open for Ted. Hope it's the latter.

Re: GSoD Discussion Day 4
if thronton beats beaton, ted is pretty much doomed with his 0-5 loss againt his leg difference. how many legs does mvg need to qualify regardless of win/lose?

id like to see wade through gaz, but on current form he is going to do nothing down the line.Justin Credible wrote:wade king the most important match of the night for me

longer the format better for wade.Darth Randall wrote:id like to see wade through gaz, but on current form he is going to do nothing down the line.Justin Credible wrote:wade king the most important match of the night for me

As for monk, dont be too sure, its not long ago monk was hitting averages of low 70, and if dekker can find a bit of form and take a lead he will and can beat monk

wade has never recovered from the surrenders to waites and lewis. thats a grandslam and world title he has literally thrown away.

Think Wade will go out, I don't see him beating King & even if Dekker beats Monk I don't see the leg difference being made up

Someone on another forum has done some cracking calculation of who would go through if certain scores come up, I know he wouldnt mind me copying them over hereDarth Randall wrote:its that stage where we need to get the calculators out.
All players except Stompe have a chance of progression tonight.

Jan Dekker v Arron Monk (D) Care less, dislike the pair of them
Mark Webster v Co Stompe (A) Webster i hope.
Kevin Painter v James Hubbard (C) Painter for me, thou i like the look of Hubbard. Know his dad well, really think this lad will be good.
Robert Thornton v Steve Beaton (B) Thornton for me, 5-3, thou wouldnt mind Beaton winning it
James Wade v Mervyn King (D) King in this one i hope as iv alot of cash on him to win the group
Phil Taylor v Scott Waites (A) Not pushed, not a fan of either.
Simon Whitlock v Dean Winstanley (C) WHitlock i hope will win this one
Michael van Gerwen v Ted Hankey (B) Van gerwen with some luck will smash Ted up
