Friday In Crawley

Post by M H » Fri Nov 04, 2011 11:55 am

FRIDAY sees the eyes of the darting world trained on Crawley's K2 Leisure Centre for the PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship and the William Hill Grand Slam of Darts Wildcard Qualifier.

Stars from around the world have travelled to Crawley to compete in two tournaments which could shape the careers of the successful players.

The PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship will see 64 players play down to the final from 12pm.

The final will then be held on Thursday May 17 2012 during the Premier League Darts Play-Offs at The O2 in London.

Alongside playing for a £10,000 first prize, the finalists will also win a place in next week's William Hill Grand Slam of Darts as well as a two-year PDC ProTour Card to compete full-time on the PDC circuit, with their entry fees paid for.

The draw for the World Youth Championship will be made at 11am following the close of registration. All games will be the best of nine legs.

Friday evening sees 256 players competing in the Wildcard Qualifier for the William Hill Grand Slam of Darts - with two places at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall on offer for a field of professional stars and amateur hopefuls.

Play in the Wildcard Qualifier commences at 6pm, with games the best of seven legs.
