Ideas for a (football) league/clubs to follow on TDF next season
We've had several ideas already, in the footie thread.
I just thought it would fun to follow a league or leagues or a few clubs in a semi-formal way on the forum next season.
English non-league seems like an obvious choice. If the clubs have a twitter presence that could be fun too. We can tweet to them and alarm them.
Or we could adopt a non-UK league.
Or concentrate on one particular club, or a few clubs.
Completely open to suggestions.

Think the UK would be better as it has more visibility and no language barrier

As for what level, I don't mind but it would be great if it is a team that has a chance of a bit of a cup run (even if it is the prelims)

We did have fun during the FA Cup dip last season pissing about on twitter. Spelthorne retweeted malt in an all-time glorious moment in darts forum history.tungsten tossers wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 9:05 pm Think the UK would be better as it has more visibility and no language barrier

I liked the FA Cup thing. Could do the same thing principally but we follow our team in their league and other cup competitions as well as the FA Cup?
There's not a language barrier to follow the Maltese league as the main website posts in English but I think i'll be on my own in campaigning for that league to be followed. Hamrun Spartans have been verryyyy close to getting into Europe in recent seasons though!

I'm ok with Malta. We can do both
A Non League side and a Malta side

1 team each is a good idea for getting a little engagement going. We will do that.TheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Tue May 21, 2024 9:47 pm I liked the FA Cup thing. Could do the same thing principally but we follow our team in their league and other cup competitions as well as the FA Cup?

I think it would be more funn and easier to follow if we focus it on one league. But as tt said that will mean restricting it to a region, so we could use different regional leagues but from the same level.

I remember them from the FA Cup. Fine mice.
Step 4 of the pyramid that is, ok. 4 promotions away from the football league. We'll investigate.
