If you can win the Matchplay you can win the worlds. Doubt it this year though

That big dutch fella will have no trouble chucking them... The way he was throwing his darts the other day I thought he was going to pierce through the back of the board

Re: The Greatest Show on Earth - 2024 PDC World Championship
Friday night games are so intriguing. In a generic tournament you wouldn’t raise an eye on these games but to have 2 pick em’s on night 1 is great.
Buntz opening the tournament after his Slam showing is a great way to start and Doets is an opponent who’s definitely on his level. Both can average 81 and both can average 105
Menzies v Rusty could have the same argument. It could be a corker, Rusty is clearly in form and put superb numbers in the qualifier, Nutcase Cammy is superb if he gets it right. Be gutted if it’s a 3-0 either way
Whitlock v Nebrida is also good for an opener, Whitlock is Whitlock and Nebrida falls into the unknown quantity category. His numbers on the Asian Tour suggest it’s not as simple as it could be for an out of sorts Whitlock
Smith should run through either Buntz or Doets but in current form both could stress him. If he batters either 3-0 with a 99+ average you can probably immediately write off the shit form and call him a contender again

When I get home from my night out drunk I will post a big paragraph analysing the games I didn’t watch trying to give the impression I’m an intelligent man who’s worth listening to for sure

This is basically what happens when you see me post a paragraph late at night after no posts for like 8 hours. In fact I’m quite drunk now, I went horse racing today and I am quite sloshedThe Thorn wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 11:34 pmExcellent mate. Denis Ovens shouldn't be on those lists considering the match wasn't completed.

I think he has Bristow's best average wrong.
Bristow posted averages higher than 88 at Lakey.
