Think he's earned retirement. Interestingly I don't follow boxing much but doesn't Eddie have a fractious relationship with Sky?

Sometimes I think you’ll get a normal night of interviews, but someone always has to come out with total bollocks

Cunt really wanted to make it all about him. Perhaps that's why HJ sucks him off desperately

Eddie Hearn's first interview as PDC chairman. In the short-term I wonder if anything will change that we can attach to him.

A billion dollar deal.

No wonder he can host a boxing match in his own back garden.

Interesting thing to me was the whole working class hero thing and focusing on character presentation and development as they supposedly did in boxing.

I think it is hard to stereotype an early 20 something as a working class hero when they haven't had a job except darts. I get that darts is still considered a working class thing. But isn't that changing with the prominence of darts on Sky and wider representation ITV etc?

Look down the list of up and coming players. They seem younger and have spent almost their entire playing life in the PDC. They aren't coming out of the pub like they once did. This is a trend that has been going on for several years now and with the BDO feeder program gone it will be even a stronger trend.

I think the working class thing is actually the old way of doing it not the new thing or even a twist. The way forward for growrh I think is firstly on the international front. Not just getting events to those places but actually getting better players out of those places to get on the tour. A johnny foreigner who is a real contender would be a massive boon to wider spread interest in his country.

Agree I think they are misusing the term working class as it's less fitting as time progresses and I think what they actually mean is relatable. It will likely always be the case of a prolonged period in the top 16 will earn a player really good money but it's still a sport where being the 40th best in the world will see you out-earned by a decent chunk of people whereas being the 40th best in most other sports sees you as a multi-millionaire and in most case quite rapidly.
