I've met him a few times always been canny with me and the lads in the club always has a good chat about the footie.

No. I always got annoyed at his false modesty act but apart from that I don't mind him and I admire anybody who milks the max from what ability they have and he's definitely an overachiever in his career.

Annoying fanbase? Yes.

Terrible person? Barring the Covid incident, no. He actually comes across as a decent chap.

All this. People will have long memories of failures to be basically decent during covid. He behaved like an absolute banana and I suspect he feels terrible about it now which is more than most other morons ever will. Most of them live in my street. I just can't believe it.
