Yes I read what you put, and whilst you are almost certainly right, nothing has been officially announced. I think it would be embarrassing anyway if someone like Peter Wright was allowed to play, a bit like when Luke Humphries was world youth champion at 24 or 25?

Ted would be a fine addition. He was a top player in the early 2000s. He would also be one of the youngest in the field at 53/54.
Fair enough, the grim category was reserved for the old BDO brigade. I quite like Hankey and his schtick for what it's worth. A lot better to watch than Fitton, Toplad etc anyway.
I assume that only former world champions will be invited. All of those who have received invitations thus far are former world champions.

So Fitton, O'Shea and the like would probably have to enter the qualifying event.

Warren will probably say no and sit at home sulking, par for the course.

I hope Mason doesn't qualify.

Oche would be insufferable if he does.

If Fordham plays in this we may as well call it "Fordham Farewell Tour" cuz he ain't be around long after that.

If Fordham is invited then you have to invite Hankey. Walton and Tony David (if he's still playing) probably invited too

You could say the same for several of the potential participants.

Lowe in particular. No doubt Randall will still be part of his entourage.

Randall will break into the venue and kiss his idol if he were to play in it.

Hope Taylor wins it i think he will deserves that 17th world title! I didn't mind cross winning at ally pally the way he played was incredible but the fact hes dropped off since then and not kicked on makes that week feel more and more of a fluke as time goes on and he will never replicate it when it gets like that I just wish Taylor had won that night because the way cross has played since he wouldn't beat Taylor or MVG again over that format.
