In general darts players would be best served to largely ignore rankings and just keep a simple game simple turn up when you're going to play and when you're beat get ready for the next one. They almost universally are too dumb or mentally weak to cope with it. I mean it's better to be defending something than not because eh it means you've won money but some of them talk like someone not defending money is the lucky one.
It's like moaning about a big tax bill completely ignoring a big tax bill means you've been cashing big cheques to accrue it.
