What are people’s views on this? I had forgotten about this, does Ted have a point or is he throwing his toys out of the pram.
As has been said by a few on here. Ted Hankey is box office.

To answer the OP directly. Ted threw away at least 3 darts in that final set in frustration. So he did somewhat contribute to his own demise.
Ted claimed that the air conditioning came on when he was 5-3 up, with 3 sets remaining to play. After that, he had a shot at the bull to win 6-4, but was beaten soundly in the other two sets.
Were BDO officials playing games? I'm not usually one to entertain conspiracy theories, but it is possible. After all, didn't Fitz go as far as starting a rumour that Headshaker was gay?

Box office to me is entertainment value and be it in a positive or what sometimes could be construed as a negative. Ted is entertaining.
Just imagine Ted playing the likes of Cadby/ Price or even Leighton Bennett

Was this the year Hankey and his management held the BDO over a barrel on the morning of the SF over the fact he was switching and the contract said semi finalists couldnt? Think the BBC had to intervene in the end and say he had to play or else their TV contract was void.
