David Pallett
What are people’s thoughts on this player?
Wasn’t he tipped for big things? I know he got to the SF of the U.K. open and I can remember him hitting a 161 against Lewis ( at the worlds) giving it the big Un before losing 3-0 in sets.
Is he a player that could of done more, will he climb up the rankings, or will he stay at his level and eventually lose his tour card?

I didn't even know he still had a tour card. He'll lose it pretty comfortably then he'll probably be a Challenge Tour jobber.
The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.

Can we get a thread like this for all 128 tour card holders? Maybe we should get a Adrian Gray thread going tomorrow

Randall would love that for the post count. The only reason I put David Pallett was I’m sure ( I might be wrong) he was tipped for big things.TheMalteseDart wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 10:42 pm Can we get a thread like this for all 128 tour card holders? Probably when he made the UK Open Semis in 2018.HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 10:45 pmRandall would love that for the post count. I put Pallett in the same category as Rowby-john. Enough talent to get through Q school but not consistent enough to be any more than a career Jobber.

Re: David Pallett
Don't get to see him much but RJR does seem to have a higher ceiling than a lot of other players near the bottom of the leaderboard on the pro tour, just has no consistency.Captain Hobo wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 10:51 pmProbably when he made the UK Open Semis in 2018.HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Thu Nov 05, 2020 10:45 pmRandall would love that for the post count. I was going to make the argument that RJR must have about 15 years on Pallet as well, but there's only 4

Re: David Pallett
Don't remember him being tipped for great things because of the UK Open run, have to take into account Rob Owen also got to the semis, and John Part, by then a massive jobber, got to the quarters. Say what you like about current results behind closed doors, but that event was behind closed doors AND cold as fuck!

Re: David Pallett
Yeah, that was 2018. Maybe it was in 2016 after he beat Kim and missed the 9 Darter at Ally Pally there may have been some hype.thegentle wrote: ↑Fri Nov 06, 2020 1:16 am Don't remember him being tipped for great things because of the UK Open run, have to take into account Rob Owen also got to the semis, and John Part, by then a massive jobber, got to the quarters. On that basis, I guess he's due to do something of note this year...
I've never rated him, his action is not great and even when he has a run you never think he will sustain it.
