Randall is right.
Dan Dawson is annoying but does know what he's talking about.
Paul Nicholson same stuff except the stuff he talks about is kinda irrelevant.
Wayne Mardle is actually commentating the match most of the time but he's bollocks so therefore he's more shite than Dawson and Nicholson.

Also, I've heard Mervyn King commentate some matches on the Euro Tour and he's one of the best commentators. Most of the time he talks he's answering a question from his co-commentator but when he does talk about the match he kind of is always right about his stuff.
And surprisingly I didn't find it boring.

The shirts, nicknames and walk-ons can go a ways but everyone having a nickname and special attire is complete bollocks and makes darts look like a carnival festival compared to other sports.

Well if they want to bring darts to the Olympics they'd have to make it a bit more professional instead of some clowns in fancy shirts with "Everybody Dance Now" as a walk-on song and come with a better excuse than "archery and shooting are Olympic so why not us?"
This is why. This is why not you.

Darts doesn't need the Olympics at all. You're right that all this showbiz wouldn't fly at the Olympics, but why should darts be there in the first place? It's irrelevant and the status of an Olympic event wouldn't be close to the Worlds or other majors. Just one thing, you could have like 2 or 3 competitors from each nation which makes it a joke immediately as about 75% of the players are British.
