The German Superleague, PDC Europe's 16-player thing to determine the national Ally Pally qualifier, starts its 2020 season this weekend. I was just going to throw this into the Random Darts thread as usual, but apparently they're going to have full Dartconnect coverage for the first time -
https://tv.dartconnect.com/leaguemenu/sldg - so maybe there'll be enough interest for a separate thread. (Expect to see mostly high 70s / low 80s averages with the occasional 90+ highlight.)
This year's lineup:
Manfred Bilderl
Christian Bunse
Gabriel Clemens
René Eidams
Kai Gotthardt
Dragutin Horvat
Daniel Klose
Jens Kniest
Karsten Koch
Thomas Köhnlein
Nico Kurz
Maik Langendorf
Robert Marijanovic
Kevin Münch
Martin Schindler
Sascha Stein
Fixture dates:
01/02 February
25/26 April
25/26 July
22/23 August
10/11 October
Playoffs sometime in November.
Full 15-game roundrobin best of 11's on each weekend.

Hoping for Kurz to come through this again, probably the biggest positive to come from German darts last year. I assume the first 2/3 weekends will be used to determine 7 of the 8 German participants for their World Series event too

Eidams will probably be shit as always

Also, there don't appear to be any clashes between this and any other events, be they Development Tour, Challenge Tour or Euro Tour events, which is good. Granted, he was shit anyway, but Schindler had a mare last year when it came to his schedule, he missed more than half of the DT season, partially because of this

And it's running. Schindler vs Kurz to start off, heh.

Off topic but has there been any explanation as to why Kurz only played one day at Q-School?

It's so he can play the euro tour associate member qualifiers

And especially the host nation ones for the roughly half events that take place in Germany. Anyway, AFAIK he's still working full-time and has yet to figure out how he wants to handle that going forward, so he didn't intend to try for a tour card this year.

More 90 averages than I expected to see, standard seems to be better than it was when we last had regular game coverage four(?) years ago with a different scoring system. Two dips into 60s territory, both by the same player.

Does he owe anyone an explanation?

First part of matchday 1 done, Clemens leads unbeaten with 8 wins. Has averaged 93 so far, Schindler is next with just under 90. Play continues at 10 BST tomorrow, I think.

He did give people an explanation, it just happened to be in German

Looking on DartConnect, it looks like the table is based on legs won rather than matches won?

That's wrong on DC, will presumably be corrected at some point.

Thanks.
No Ginge, I was just interested.

First weekend done...Clemens could't keep his undefeated status going from yesterday but still leads with 12 wins, ahead of Schindler with 11, followed by Horvat and Münch with 10.
https://tv.dartconnect.com/leaguestandi ... g/1427/all
Clemens also setting the pace in the averages, his 92 now over 5 points ahead of the next best player (Schindler again).
Match averages:
3 in the 100s (Bilderl, Clemens, Horvat)
49 in the 90s
123 in the 80s
62 in the 70s
3 sub-70s
Overall average 83.97

This weekend’s fixtures in the competition for Ally Pally:

Interestingly no Robert Marijanovic or Martin Schindler. And isn’t Max Hopp allowed in this?

I guess he just didn't want to bother?
