To fiss previous point and post. I think the World Masters should be the WDF showcase event the world championship for the WDF if you like. It is the biggest pool of talent from across the globe. For those outside Europe it is the one event that players in all the far flung places get a chance at. Ok many play to get on the world cup team but I many cases that is about ass licking not merit. WDF should focus on reviving and branding the masters properly. It is the one event that could make money for them as a multi day TV spectacle.

Exactly. What bothers me is despite the lockdown where they could have thought and not wanted to compete with the PDC, they're STILL going ahead with a separate Masters and World Championship in 2021/22.

What in the fuck does "synergy between men and women prize structure" mean? Using big words to sound like you know what your talking about makes you look like a right tit. The only synergy between men and women game at the tournament level is the mens numbers making up the ladies prize fund. That isn't a synergy. That is parasitic relationship.

Honestly, that bit made me laugh as well. I guess they're trying to say "make the men and women's prize funds equal". If the WDF eventually want that then the match lengths for men and women should be the same.

Surely not equal. Sounds to me like they may have actually listened to Hearn about how to build from a solid base gradually instead of over shooting from the off so i'm hoping the synergy they mean is that both finds will grow proportionally alongside each other so even with the men's side naturally doing most of the driving the women's game will get pulled along at the same rate.

Yeah as cannibal said, it's very much a vague buzzword and while they are very much in trend in today's world a bit more clarity would be nice in these circumstances when you're coming in attempting a clean-up operation on an absolute clusterfuck.
