Why? Because a few in here see it differently? I’ve seen a post on a previous page whereby safc states he would rather watch a pc event or Euro event to the PL, which is fair enough as that’s his choice, he then states there is more meaningful at stake?? I can't put a 3 day event above a week long one. I do actually like the Grand Slam.
But with it not being a ranking event until a few years ago, then it remains below the oldest 4 events for me.
I think the fact it is the only cross code event makes it unique and initially at least some of the BDO players did well and progressed to the latter stages. I personally prefer the GSOD and the U.K. open to the PL and Matchplay. The GSOD is one event I’d like to attend and next year it’s likely I will.
