A transfusion isn't an option apparently as it needs to be fresh blood and there isn't a suitable donor available

The steroids will bring her levels up just a lot slower apparently.
Blood from the blood bank the platelet levels would be degraded to the point they wouldn't help

She is stable but very poorly until the steroids start kicking in.

No blood around her organs or in cavities which is good
Small nodule on her spleen that they may want do a biopsy on when she is stronger but for now it's just containing to wait for the steroids to do their job.
