Trying to stabilise her with steroids then she needs a blood transfusion
Fucking hell
Will insurance cover this or are the two linked to one policy?

I'm covered up to 4k as I have the same cover on both dogs.
How long that lasts who knows

A transfusion isn't an option apparently as it needs to be fresh blood and there isn't a suitable donor available

The steroids will bring her levels up just a lot slower apparently.
Blood from the blood bank the platelet levels would be degraded to the point they wouldn't help

Dropped her off at the emergency vets
They start talking about transfusions despite the last vet telling me it was pointless!
I'd have to go to the blood bank myself

No blood around her organs or in cavities which is good
Small nodule on her spleen that they may want do a biopsy on when she is stronger but for now it's just containing to wait for the steroids to do their job.
