I am sure plenty more than 2 have potential,
But in order to get a top player you do need a lot of players, with the hope one can break through

There might be one in there capable of making the top 32 or higher eventually, but the days of a barney or bunting making a switch are now over, there are no top players of their caliber left in the bdo system.

Even if norris, kong etc switched they would not be in their league.
In fact the pdc has raped and robbed the bdo of everything of note, and will supplement that with their own youth players from the youth system.
The PDC is not reliant on the BDO anymore

Bound to be a few there with some potential.

Many world class players will come through the BDO system but they won't hit their peak until they switch to the PDC and play a better standard.

Bunting's switch was treated as something akin to the Barney switch by Sky, albeit without the same level of success. They've basically guaranteed he'll be a PL wildcard even though his record has been poor compared to the other certainties.

Waites and Adams were world class for a period but owing to the standard improving and them regressing they aren't any more.

we saw how poor the remaining bdo players are in the gsod

there is no rising stars there anymore

its a black hole of mediocrity

With the PDC expanding throughout Europe and the rest of the world and investing heavily in the Youth Tour the need for the BDO has diminished by the year. There will still be the odd player comes from the BDO but will be few and far between.

There was the circle of darts but that's been broken now. Both needed the other but now the PDC have stole the march and all the BDO can do is hope. Not an ideal business model

And some will play county , why shouldn't they? Fact is once they're good enough for the Challenge Tour they'll be off
