Ted Hankey this season:

Belgium Open - Last 16, 16 points (€120)
Isle of Man Open - Last 16, 16 points (£60)
BDO Winmau British Classic Mens Singles - Last 16, 16 points (£125)
Isle of Man Classic - Quarter finals, 14 points (£100)
Bulls German Darts Masters - Last 32, 14 points (€50)
BDO International Open - Last 32, 14 points (£0)
Bulls German Open - Last 32, 14 points (€50)
Antwerp Open - Last 32, 14 points (€40)
Bulls Muensterland Classic - Last 32, 10 points (€30)

Im assuming the £0 for the Last 32 at Brean Sands is correct here, but that totals £285 plus €290

= £517 at todays exchange rates.

So he could easily get into Lakeside without even winning £800 across 12 events.
Big changes on the way ! We've heard it before but it's different this time !!!! , I believe Bdo gonna grow x

Let's hope he makes it, it's his territory after all

It will add yet more comedy to the show :D

Averaging less than £70 winnings per event, really is piss poor. The more of this you read the more Dazzla made sense the other evening

£57.44 per event, actually. So you could have said "less than £60".

Also the above doesnt include events he has bombed in, such as the Scottish and Dutch Opens.

You laugh but when you look at the prize money he won in his first season in the PDC, he was probably less out of pocket. Trips to Belgium and Germany aint cheap and I dont think he had to go abroad at all in his first PDC season.

If they go abroad they're pretty much guaranteed to cover costs unlike the BDO/WDF. Beats me why some say the Pro Tour's a skimming exercise when a solitary win's worth £250.

Did Ted ever make it to a Euro event. He did the players weekend in Spain. That was a dry weekend ;-)

Didnt make any of the ones in his first year but think they only had 5 of them in 2012, went up to 8 last year. And had forgotten there was still the odd foreign Pro Tour weekend back then.

Had a look and he did only qualify for one but he never played in it. German Darts Masters in Sept 2013.

Was the whiplash thing. 'Car accident.' Then never played PDC after that.

Perhaps the huge compensation payout he received explains why he hasn't tried too much on the oche since

Compensation would have been based on net average winnings per event so he could have ended up with a bill
