I know, was only joking. Yeah two good posters, always liked Sprocket ever since I started reading DF maybe two years ago, very funny guy and Noisy can be amusing as well, despite his love for Taylor.

Haven't had the pleasure of meeting Sprocket yet but hope to some time. I've met and spoken with Noisy quite a few times and he's something else, just the same as he is here.

His points about Taylor darts wise are totally correct though, how can any darts fan moan about watching darts being played at the highest standard ever seen?

I've spoken about this before, but I'll preface it by saying my contempt for Philth as a man is matched by my respect for his darts ability. Now that's out of the way, there are two reasons I watch sport: Close competition and excellence.

Ideally, you'll get both like last night between him and Jenks, but given the choice of a close, tense game with a slightly lower standard due to a few missed doubles at a crucial point, or a "masterclass" against one of the pocketeers, I'd take the former every single time. I'd take a masterclass over a nip and tuck match with a low average though.

I said ideally you'd get matches like last nights between Feelup and Jenks, that's the ultimate in sport. It's also why even 5-0 in this Ashes series wont compare to 2005 as it's not numbers one and two going toe to toe. An arsekicking where the winners aren't exceptional doesnt do much for me,
