Watching the wickets back to back
Its turning but it doesn't help when they all play down the wrong line.
Play straight; if it rips and takes the edge fine but dont get bowled by straight balls.

I’ve no idea if any sanctions will be brought against India cricket.Captain Hobo wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 2:15 pmThe pitch is a disgrace, but you don't seriously think India will be fined a significant amount, do you?HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 1:30 pm This pitch is shocking and a disgrace for a test pitch.
Large fine hopefully.

The first Test wasn't a massive turner. They've only done it since they went down 1-0Randall wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 5:18 pmWhile they hide behind pitches they will never improveHalloweenJack wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 4:25 pmI’ve no idea if any sanctions will be brought against India cricket.Captain Hobo wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 2:15 pmThe pitch is a disgrace, but you don't seriously think India will be fined a significant amount, do you?HalloweenJack wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 1:30 pm This pitch is shocking and a disgrace for a test pitch.

They need to win the Series to qualify for the Test World Championship, so that is more important to them than anything else.
It still doesn't explain why England looked at that pitch and picked 3 Fast bowlers and Stokes.

Re: cricket thread
The ball Crawley received 2nd innings was probably the ball of the series. He played what would normally be the right line. I think that ball gets anyone out.Randall wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 10:56 pmWhatever the pitchCaptain Hobo wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 10:54 pmThe first Test wasn't a massive turner. Bairstow ( who I am a big fan of) played two poor shots in his second innings.

If your not going to the ball
Stay back and defend your stumps
If the spinner can turn it 90 degrees and have you caught at slip then that's too good
Dont let him bowl you with a ball doing nothing
Top order batsman should not be clean bowled

But many a top order batsman have been clean bowled Randall. I still don’t think Crawleynshoudk be criticised for his shot selection 2nd innings.Randall wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 9:36 amIn the main they are playing around straight ballsHalloweenJack wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 9:08 amThe ball Crawley received 2nd innings was probably the ball of the series. I was a bowler when I played and my batting philosophy was ‘fuck forward defence, swing the bastard’
