Lived off of 1 good result?

Bit harsh i suppose to start this one with Keith Deller, but he has kinda really hung on and made the most of that 138 finish

Dell boy is still one of the busier ones on the exbo circuit, himself and Bristow put on a good show, usually with Brissy throwing the toys out of the pram

Kirk Shepherd - although could you call what he's getting from darts at the moment a living?

He did dicie in 99.
So I guess technially on mbdo majors he has 2 so might be exempt.

As for kirk I think he is a definate contender, although that said a lot was expected of him being a former youth masters champion, not just once but 3 times I believe

Hard to comment whether he would have made a living based on his win due to his illness and absence from the game. The forgotten man of darts among people who don't follow it as closely as we do.

Making a comfortable living from the pro-circuit whilst not setting the darts world alight. Had he not won Lakeside, this would still be the case.

I though Kirk had given up on the pro tour.

He won prize money of £14,315 in 2011 but £6,000 of that was in the PDC World Champs last January.

Anyone know what he's up to these days?

I agree with your assertation that none of gazs' nominees are living off 1 win.

Deller so far is the only one i think that comes into it. So far that is.

Kirk isnt doing much on the exbo side of it.

Thus, Deller is certainly in this bracket.

Gaz's list, Shepherd and now Nicholson do not fall into this bracket, if I have interpreted your question correctly.

These people either are

a) no longer earning a living in darts or
b) earning a living which they would have done whether or not they'd had their big moment.

It's a really tough one to answer and I can't think of anyone excpet Deller and maybe to an extent, Harrington who won two Matchplays and made a couple of finals elsewhere, I think.

But nico's players champ win has seen him grow, and gain alot of exbo work, or if you like his run ins with taylor has done this. Would he have gotten the same amount of work if he hadnt them wun ins or won that PC event

Oh, so now we're hypothesising. Gets even tougher then in that case.
