TDF AINTREE FESTIVAL COMPETITION
Posted: Tue Apr 03, 2012 1:21 pm
Thursday April 12th to Saturday April 14th
I've always felt Aintree is a bit 'after the Lord Mayor's Show' coming so soon after Cheltenham but it's still a great meeting often showcasing the best jumpers and hurdlers Britain and Ireland has to offer. Let's get involved with our first Horse Racing Competition here on thedartsforum.com.
The Rules are simple and all it takes from you is one selection each race posted on this forum. I will take care of the rest.
1) You pick one horse in each race every day.
2) You can go for a (virtual) £2 win bet or £1 e/w.
3) All e/w's will be paid 1/4 the odds.
4) All selections must be in before the scheduled off time of the first race each day.
5) If you select a non runner, then you can change your selection, but the new pick has to be stated on this thread before the scheduled off time of the first race of the day or you will be on the favourite. In the event of there being joint or co favourites, you will be on the lowest numbered horse of these.
6) When making your selections you can pick a reserve at the same time if you wish.
7) Scoring will be odds based. For example, if you pick a 10/1 winner, you will score 20 points. A 7/2 winner will score 7 points. A 16-1 winner backed £1 ew will score 20 points (1x21 and 1 x 5). The stake is not included in the result so noone will have a negative score. All results will be settled at SP.
8) Scoring will be updated as soon as possible bearing in mind I am at work during the first two days of the meet.
9) The winner will be the person who has the highest total at the end of the week.
10) Entry is free. In future events, we may have a voluntary entry fee for those wishing to do so.
11) Any disputes will be resolved by myself and Dicie and our decisions are final.
Example of an entry:
Thursday
Race 1: Noisysuckshard £2 win
Race 2: Knottsisamisery £1 ew
Race 3: Downyoche £1 ew
Race 4: Sprocketisgod £2 win
Race 5: MHsZimmer £2 win
Race 6: Izdatroight £1 ew
Hope you get involved.
Remember to get your first day's entries in on this thread by the start of the first race on Thursday 12th April.
