Welsh open!!

Setting off for Prestatyn about 11am get there about 3pm check in bit of practise about 5pm, 6pm pairs event starts Deta paired with Karen lawman after I triple checked their entry is in, paulyboy is entered in the pairs with Dutch WCDPA member jorgen Brouwer great guy and possibly the best marker in Europe ( spaceman lol) does a lot of volunteering work for Dutch dart board! However I have picked the only Dutch guy who can't throw darts, his career record in over 12 attempts is that he has never won in the uk............ Not a match A LEG! methinks his chalking ability will be used early doors.
Deta has been drawn on a reasonable board and should with a bit of luck get to last 16.
Then the fun starts her half of the draw is slightly weighted: trina,Lisa,Deta, Julie gore, rhian Edwards,Tricia wright,Clare bywaters, dee Bateman.
Little outside tip Jayne Stubbs of Cheshire playing really well at moment last 2 county matches has been close to a 9 darter 7 x t20 in April then wired t19, last weekend 6 x T20 then a bounce out.
Anastasia not playing which is strange this being a cat A event ! But have a sneaky feeling is doing a few global events in her points hunt.
No wolfie or ted in the mens so hard to call with a 1000+ entries playing.
Wouldn't be surprised for an outside to do well, although Dave prins is the form man at the moment .
Lost at darts last nite 10/4 as captain I shoulder the blame Deta was on leave from work and us signed on but in fairness to the others Inc 2 ladies I picked our normal side and made the tall girl chalk!!!! Which she did very well, hopefully she doesn't have to chalk again this weekend! The welsh open is (apart from lakeside) the only uk and european open she hasn't won so fingers crossed.

I know Bradders think she might be heading off to Canada soon, and if can make it there's a couple of events in australia/nz coming up, think it's possible to do 3 in 2weeks , would go a long way in filling some boxes.
Perhaps it's a family do or something this weekend because spud is not entered either.
Otherwise can't understand not playing as it's a cat A.

Found out Ana and Tony on holiday in Cuba was booked before her return to BDO , Deta and Karen lost in final of pairs last nite to Louise Carroll and Bev Martin ( stu kellets lady) , beat rhian Edwards and Michelle webber in a great semi that done justice to ladies darts ! The pairs were best of 3 601, Deta and Karen won 1st leg in 21 darts , only for the welsh ladies to come back with 140,140,100,140 then took 4 darts to check 81, Deta lost the bull but Karen hit the winning double 22 darts later a very good match ave of 30.55.
Had a great and very pro welsh crowd watching bit like a bear pit at times but great appreciation of a very good game.
Met lurgan and duly got him a beer, me and jorgen surprised all by storming into the 2nd round in an extremely tense 1st round game the crowd were on edge all the time up to rab butler announcing 3rd and final call steve Mann and Callum Wallace you are eliminated ! A great victory ........ Lost 2/0 in 2nd round to rhian Edwards dad and partner , although were on 36 and 40 when they won.
Don't know how the mens went in other room and I was f**led.
Inter welsh counties today till 6pm when start mixed pairs Deta paired with robbie.

Lurgan is already a legend on my eyes , went to shop at 8.30 this morning and bumped into him he still hadn't gone to his bed yet had been on an all nighter, he was going into the bar for a livener b4 going back to his chalet.
