CLD Group One Fixtures
21 Sep 2011
THE 2011 Championship League Darts will kick off on Tuesday September 27, with eight of the world's top nine players in action in the internet-streamed event - which will be shown live worldwide via LIVEPDC.TV and 30 bookmakers' websites.

Championship League Darts sees players compete in eight-man groups, with prize money awarded per leg won.

Each day sees the players meet each other once during the league phase, before the top four contest the semi-finals and final to determine a group winner.

The runner-up, semi-finalists and the players who finish fifth and sixth in the league table progress to the next group, and are joined by the next three players from the PDC Order of Merit. The players who finish seventh and eighth in each group are eliminated.

The process is repeated through to Group Eight before the eight individual champions return to compete in the big-money Winners Group on Thursday October 20.

All games during the event are the best of 11 legs.

Group One will feature reigning champion James Wade, who opens his challenge against Premier League Darts winner Gary Anderson.

The opening round of games also sees world number one Phil Taylor, the 15-time World Champion and inaugural Championship League Darts winner in 2008, play current World Champion Adrian Lewis.

Simon Whitlock, a semi-finalist, opens the event against Wes Newton, while Mark Webster plays Terry Jenkins.

The eight players will continue to compete throughout Tuesday's Group One in a round-robin format, before the top four progress to that evening's play-offs.

Had an operation on me eye on Tuesday, had lumpy thing removed from it. My missus often uses the term 'I would rather stick pins in me eyes than do that', well now I know what having a fucking pin stuck in your eye means

Ouch mate, hope you're back to normal (or whatever you describe as normal) soon.

Yeh we have hired a marquee, club wouldnt be big enough, and set it on the pitch. We are in a fair bit of debt due to a previous treasurer and hopefully this weekend will put a hole in it, there are seven GAA clubs round here and all are entered into the boxing on Saturday night, so there will be some serious scores going back years being settled, its totally sold out.

I'd doubt any of these lads come out
