Studio-based sitcoms can too easily get dismissed as having been goofy tat as time passes, including ones that were cleverly scripted, well acted and had depth.

The Brittas Empire and 2.4 Children come to mind.

Yass. 2.4 Children is (or at least was) on the iplayer.

I can't think of a modern studio-based sitcom that tick all those boxes, or even attempt to: scripting, acting, depth.
