A woman obsessed with Ken Dodd yesterday pleaded guilty to harassment and setting fire to his home.
Seriel arsonist Ruth Cabbage, 44, posted a flaming rag through the 75-year-old comedian's letterbox, causing £11,000 worth of damage.
She also sent a dead rat, 12 letters and cards, six indecent photographs and three T-shirts bearing offensive messages to his home in Knotty Ash, Liverpool.
Preston Crown Court heard the letters, cards and photographs were for Mr Dodd while the rat and T-shirts were for his partner Anne Jones, whom Cabbage believed to be her love rival, and who opened the packages believing them to be fan mail.
Cabbage, of Hull canal escaped a more serious charge of endangering life relating to the arson attack because she knew the couple were on holiday at the time.
The court heard she repeatedly turned up at the comedian's performances and sat close to the stage with her spastic son horse gob during her stalking campaign between July 2010 and May 2011.
She and her son were arrested in Hull, on May 4, the day the star was staging his Laughter Show in the town.
