I assume it was breaking the curse of dying/nearly dying in office?

1840 - Harrisson. Gave a far too long speach in horrific weather. Caught pneumonia. Died.

1860 - Lincoln. Shot in the head. Died.

1880 - Garfield. Shot in the chest. Looked like he would get better. Bad medicine helped stop that. Died.

1900- McKinley. Shot in the chest. Got gangrene. Died.

1920 - Harding. Heart attack and pneumonia. Died.

1940 - Roosevelt. Made it to the next election, but soon after had a brain hemorrhage. Died.

1960 - Kennedy. Shot in the head. Died.

1980 - Reagan. Shot in the chest. Nearly died but didnt.

2000 - Bush. Not yet came close to dying.

Well done, Emu.
Wouldn’t have gotten that in a million years.

It’s known as the Curse of Tippecanoe. Apparently.

What was the last european war to feature battles with armies being lead in person by their respective monarchs, and which monarchs were they?

Tippecanoe, and Tyler too.

I'm sure Randall remembers that one.

We know he wasn't the gunman, at least.
