UK Open Through the Ages

Just so people can post images, Old News, Results, Data from years gone by


2003 - UK Open

No "Amateur" qualifiers directly to the UK Open, They had to play in the regional finals to qualify for the 128 + Ties places.

Peter Manley was number 1 seed, winning the OOM (https://web.archive.org/web/20030628233 ... 42076&Nv=1)

I remember it well. Gilding was absolutely incredible and I thought he was heading for the top 16. It's been a road of many bumps since but I think it's still possible.

The year we met Barry Lynn and this guy. Barry was the better of the two in my old opinion.

Remember being heartbroken watching this

Everything after until 2021 was downhill, aside from beating King in Blackpool when he wore a red shirt iirc
