I can't remember the last new year I saw in
Me and the dogs will be asleep by 9
It’s shite anyway, so I don’t blame you.
This

We will probably just watch the footie then a movie then Sam Ryder or Jools Holland
I am actually staggered (very) that the Police agreed to a 5.30pm kickoff time for a PL game in Brighton on New Years Eve.
Big changes on the way ! We've heard it before but it's different this time !!!! , I believe Bdo gonna grow x

When my local boozer, a pub I supported all year round refused me access one new years eve without buying a ticket I was done.
You’re right that’s a joke, Pubs charging you to get in.
Not really.

A) you might get food/a drink/both thrown in as part of the ticket price
B) it manages the capacity.

In the Setanta days they tried to get Everton/Man U played at the exact same time on a Saturday NYE and Merseyside Police were having none of it.

Depends how much the ticket is.

I would much rather be sat down in the pub with 90 other people than turn up to find 300 in there and 10 deep at the bar.

How much was this charge? If it was a fiver and that included your first drink and guaranteed you a seat, whats the fucking issue?

Or would you prefer it as a free for all with the place swarming with people?

Should have gotten there earlier then.

Don’t get me wrong, I see your point and that’s obviously why pubs do it buts it’s just wrong IMHO.
